In Jesus’ name I walk in grace
He’s leading me to that “glorious place.”
I may walk with pauses and very slow
But I’m getting somewhere, as I merrily go
Underneath these walls, I’m still persevering
But only because the Lord for me is cheering
The Lord already sees my end
Yet walks with me and will still defend
I can’t make it on my own
This too the Lord has known
When I could not walk by myself
The Lord revealed the Word himself
The pages are turning the Lord’s way
Each minute and second has God’s say
The lamps are still burning with a light so bright
The Lord is in the midst; everything’s gonna be alright
When Jesus is on the scene
Darkness flees, and so does mean
The enemy gets chased away
No longer in the present to stay
Jesus speaks the Word, and everything obeys
He is the only worthy one due all praise
We go up the mountain one step at a time
The Lord is our helper who helps us climb
While we ascend, the world may scoff and more
But our eyes are fixed on Jesus, the one our hearts adore
We may feel discouraged at times, but that’s OK
The Lord is still beside us, even in that kind of day
The truth will always be, and that is our banner
It is lifted above us and over our daily planner
With all the noise that feeds our ears
The Lord hears and removes all our fears
When we come to a “crossroad” and don’t know which way
The Lord will shine his light while to him we ask and pray
He already knows what we’re going to ask before we speak
He answers while we’re being still and praying, being meek
This burden is heavy, and at Jesus’ feet I’m laying it down now
It’s heavier than I thought, and I just can’t anymore carry it around
My master picked it up for me
He said, “My child, the Son has made you free.”
