MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Shelby County Health Department has ordered the Shelby county Criminal Justice Center, 201 Poplar Avenue, to close following a flooding incident Monday morning
The health department said the flooding was caused from a water main break
After the a walk-through of the building, the health department has ordered the building to close due to the impacts of the break
The health department said there was no running water in the building and the lack of running water could pose a health risk to building employees and visitors

Several courts inside of the 201 Poplar building were closed Monday before the health department arrived, including General Sessions, Criminal Court and Municipal courts
The jail next door, 227 Poplar Avenue is not impacted by this closure, said the sheriff’s office and health department
It’s unclear how long the building will be closed
The health department says Shelby County Support Services is in charge of the maintenance
