Brilliance Cosmocare, a Mumbai-based skin health venture founded by aesthetic surgeon Dr Ashok Patel, is trying to build something closer to science. HUL’s roughly Rs 3,000 crore acquisition of Minimalist last year is among the clearest signals that scientific, evidence-based skin brands can deliver serious results in this market.
