41-year-old Olympian Lindsey Vonn flaunts stunning gym look as she continues recovery
Lindsey Vonn is giving fans another glimpse of her progress as the Olympic icon continues to rebuild her strength following a brutal crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Six months after suffering a serious leg injury in Milan, the 41-year-old skier is back in the gym and showing clear signs that her recovery is moving forward. Her latest Instagram posts offered a look at the work happening behind the scenes, with Vonn sharing clips from a workout that showed both her determination and athletic form. The images also gave fans a reminder of just how difficult the road back has been. Vonn endured multiple surgeries, spent months unable to walk without help and even faced the possibility of losing her leg after developing compartment syndrome. Now, she is doing squats, pull-ups and other exercises again, a major change from the wheelchair and crutches that once defined her daily routine.

Lindsey Vonn shared the latest update on her Instagram Story over the weekend, posting several photos and videos from the gym. She wore pink shorts with a white athletic bikini-style top, putting her toned physique on display as she worked through her exercises. The first image showed Vonn posing in the gym as she highlighted her progress. “It’s coming,” she wrote in the caption. She followed it with a clip of herself performing light squats, an exercise that would have been difficult during the early stages of her recovery.“And yes, your regular scheduled squats too!” Vonn wrote. The final post showed the former Olympic champion doing pull-ups. “Back to your regularly scheduled pull up video…” she captioned the clip. For Vonn, those simple movements carry plenty of weight. Her comeback began after a crash that left her with a complex tibia fracture and required several operations. She has undergone five surgeries since the accident and spent roughly three and a half months unable to walk without assistance. That makes the latest gym footage more than just a fitness update. It shows how much ground she has regained.

Lindsey Vonn recently turned heads in a red bikini amid ankle recovery

Vonn also made headlines earlier this month when she shared photos from a busy seaside vacation. On Aug. 5, she posted a series of pictures from her trip, including one in which she wore a red triangle-cut bikini while paddleboarding.“Been on the move… ☀️💛💃🏼🙏🏻,” Vonn captioned the post. The Olympic gold medalist looked relaxed as she smiled on the paddleboard, but the vacation came while she was still dealing with a serious injury. In another photo, she rode what appeared to be a red motorbike through a tropical city at night. She also shared a workout selfie wearing a Red Bull hat and a white Under Armour tank top.Her ability to enjoy an active vacation marked a notable change from the months immediately after her crash. Still, Vonn has been open about the fact that she is far from fully healed.Speaking to PEOPLE at the 2026 ESPYS in July, she revealed that her ankle was “still broken” and admitted that walking remained difficult.“It’s been a very slow process,” she said. “It’s been five months since I’ve been able to actually go to the gym in a somewhat meaningful way. And walking is actually still really hard for me. My ankle is still broken.”

Vonn crashed just 13 seconds into her women’s downhill final run on Feb. 8 after losing control and flipping through the air. She was taken from the course on a stability board before being airlifted to a hospital, where doctors diagnosed a complex tibia fracture. The injury came only a week after Vonn had “completely ruptured” her ACL during a World Cup race, adding another layer to an already difficult comeback.Get the latest Sports News and Live updates.
