Vernacular AI health coaching platform Disha has secured US$5.96M in a Series A funding round led by General Catalyst. Existing backers Elevation Capital and Flamel Performing Creatives Private Limited also joined the round
Breaking Down the Series A Funding and Valuation
Regulatory filings reveal that General Catalyst spearheaded the round with a US$5.19M contribution. Elevation Capital added US$706.2K, while Flamel chipped in US$65.2K. The injection of fresh capital pushed Disha’s post-money valuation to approximately US$39.1M, marking a 52% jump from its previous valuation of US$25.8M. The startup previously secured a $3.5 million seed round led by Elevation Capital and Venture Highway.
Disha plans to channel the new funds into working capital, proprietary AI model development, and business expansion. Founded by Aman Singla and Divyansh Jain, the platform offers personalised diet, fitness, and chronic-care support spanning 15 conditions. Financial Performance and Market Reach
Operational numbers show steady momentum for the health tech firm. Disha doubled its revenue to US$666.8K in FY25, up from US$335.4K in FY24. At the same time, the company tightened its fiscal controls, narrowing its net loss by 22.5% to US$604.3K from US$779.5K the prior year
On the user adoption front, Disha reports 70 lakh sign-ups, 3 lakh active users, and a total of 1.4 crore messages exchanged on the platform. Cap table data shows founders Aman Singla and Divyansh Jain maintain majority stakes at 31.10% each. General Catalyst holds 13.33%, and Elevation Capital retains 9.96%. Prominent angel investors, including Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma and ShareChat cofounder Ankush Sachdeva, each hold about 0.16%.
