Women are often the ones everyone depends on. They care for families, manage careers, support friends, carry responsibilities, and somehow keep moving, even when they could use a moment for themselves
A new Fox Lake business is creating a place specifically for that moment
WellEmbrace, a Women’s Boutique Emotional Wellness experience, will officially open its doors at 10 a.m. Oct. 16 at 2 W. Grand Ave., Unit 107, in Fox Lake
Created by founder LaVeda M. Jones, WellEmbrace brings together private wellness experiences, intentional spaces for rest and reflection, gatherings, workshops, community connection, and a thoughtfully curated boutique bookstore in one welcoming environment created specifically with women in mind
But Jones says WellEmbrace was never intended to feel clinical, intimidating or like another obligation added to a woman’s already full schedule
“I kept thinking about the women who are always there for everyone else,” Jones said in a news release. “Where does she go when she needs a minute? Not necessarily because something is wrong, but because she needs somewhere to breathe, regroup, or simply be. I wanted to create a place where she could walk through the door and feel like, for once, this space was created with her in mind.”
That idea became WellEmbrace
Guests will be able to experience private wellness spaces, including the Reset Room, created to offer a quiet pause from the demands of everyday life, and the Remind Me Room, along with a comfortable lounge and boutique bookstore. WellEmbrace will also create opportunities for women to connect through gatherings, classes, workshops, and special experiences
The environment has been intentionally designed to feel less like an appointment and more like an exhale
Jones, a board-certified master mental health coach, believes emotional wellness does not always begin with a crisis or major life event. Sometimes it begins with recognizing that women need permission to make room for themselves before they reach the point of exhaustion
“WellEmbrace is not about telling women they need to become someone different,” Jones said. “It is about giving women permission to come exactly as they are. That is why our message is so simple: Come as you are. Leave a little lighter.”
WellEmbrace marked its arrival in the community with a ribbon-cutting from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 13
The doors will officially open to the public for the WellEmbrace Grand Opening at 10 a.m. Oct. 16
For Jones, opening day represents more than launching a new business. It represents bringing to life a vision for a place where women can feel welcomed without having to explain why they came
She hopes WellEmbrace will become a meaningful part of Fox Lake and the surrounding communities, giving women somewhere to turn when they need rest, connection, encouragement, or simply a little room for themselves
“Women spend so much of their lives showing up for other people,” Jones said. “WellEmbrace is our way of saying there should be a place that shows up for you, too.”
