    Austin, TX / Nov 3, 2026 / Tiny Health

Tiny Health, the microbiome intelligence platform pioneering gut and vaginal microbiome testing across the lifespan, today announced the launch of two new features delivering deeper insights into microbiome health to consumers: Microbiome Age and Gut-Body Connections. The two features are being officially unveiled at Eudēmonia Summit, the transformational gathering dedicated to the science and practice of human flourishing, in West Palm Beach, FL, November 5 to 8.

Gut Microbiome Age: A More Complete Picture Of Longevity

A person’s birthday only moves in one direction, but their Microbiome Age doesn’t have to. Microbiome Age is a window into inflammaging, the slow rise in gut inflammation that comes with age, giving people a clear, trackable way to see where they stand. The feature adds a new dimension to understanding health and aging, one that chronological age alone can’t capture, identifying patterns in the gut microbiome associated with age and estimating how old a person’s microbiome appears to be relative to their chronological age. It is the result of growing customer demand for clear, trackable metrics that make complex health data (and the results of everyday health choices) easier to understand over time.

Rather than looking at microbiome characteristics in isolated age groups, Tiny Health can visualize how the gut changes over decades and identify the microbial patterns associated with a more youthful or older microbiome. The value of Microbiome Age goes beyond a simple numerical score: the feature also reveals why a microbiome appears younger or older. Tiny Health breaks the metric down across dimensions including diversity and resilience, gut barrier and inflammation, beneficial and disruptive functions, and beneficial and disruptive microbes. Ultimately, this makes Microbiome Age fundamentally different from simply asking whether one’s microbiome is “healthy.”

The introduction of Microbiome Age is also built on Tiny Health’s belief that there is no single perfect microbiome: instead, the metric provides a new way to understand where someone’s gut may be on its aging trajectory and which biological patterns are driving that trajectory. And importantly, Microbiome Age is not intended to be a fixed prediction of future health; the microbiome is dynamic and responds to diet, medications, physical activity, stress, illness, and other environmental factors. Understanding which aspects of one’s microbiome may be aging faster or slower offers opportunities to learn and support resilience.

Gut-Body Connections: Linking the Microbiome to the Rest of Your Body

The microbiome doesn’t exist in isolation: research increasingly connects the gut and virtually every system in the body, from the brain and skin to the liver and immune system [Han, 2026]. But for most people, making sense of that research means digging through an overwhelming volume of studies online

Gut-Body Connections helps solve that problem. This new section of the Tiny Health app shows users how microbiome insights connect across organ systems and health concerns like eczema, poor sleep, constipation, GLP-1 production, IBS, and more. Behind the scenes, Tiny Health’s scientists review the latest high-quality research and compare it against the company’s own microbiome dataset to surface the connections that are relevant and meaningful.

The feature builds on Tiny Health’s results experience, adding a layer of context for how those systems may relate to a person’s results, and what users can do about the factors within their control. The feature is designed to help people understand these relationships; it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or predict the course of any disease

“Gut-Body Connections represents a shift from simply measuring the gut to helping people understand the gut as part of a connected biological system,” said Kimberley Sukhum, PhD, Chief Science Officer at Tiny Health. “Tiny Health is taking an enormous and rapidly expanding body of microbiome research and translating it into personalized insights, grounded in both science and each individual’s unique microbiome.”

    Built On Science, Not Speculation

People are increasingly turning to general-purpose AI tools for health advice, or to make sense of their gut or vaginal microbiome test results. The answers sound confident, but are often built on scattered, outdated, or low-quality research. Tiny Health takes a different approach. Its proprietary metrics and built-in AI feature, TinyAI, draw on a knowledge base vetted by the company’s science team and grounded in Tiny Health’s own longitudinal microbiome dataset. Tiny Health also doesn’t sell supplements or take commissions on any products it recommends.

“With Microbiome Age and Gut-Body Connections, we’ve expanded Tiny Health’s vision to measure how the microbiome changes across the lifespan and its effects on various organ systems,” said Cheryl Sew Hoy, Founder and CEO of Tiny Health. “Tiny Health was built on rigorous science from day one, and these features carry the same standard forward. Combined with our proprietary dataset, novel metrics, and personalized recommendations, we’re building a new framework for understanding the gut as a cornerstone of longevity and full-body health.”

The Tiny Health team will be exhibiting at Eudemonia (Nov 5-8, 2026) at booth #717 and speaking on-site about the new features throughout the weekend
