Leading the conversation on Womens Health – Together
As part of the International Day of Action for Women’s Health, Eve Studios will be hosting a major public women’s health discussion event on Thursday 4th June, bringing together clinicians, policymakers, advocates and women with lived experience to discuss the future of women’s healthcare in Jersey
We are particularly delighted to welcome Helen Tomlinson, former UK Government Employment Menopause Champion and former DEI Lead for Adecco, as one of our keynote speakers for the evening. Helen was the UK’s first ever Employment Menopause Champion and has become one of the leading national voices around workplace menopause, women in leadership and inclusive employment practices. She is also currently leading the ‘No Time to Step Back’ campaign focused on retaining and supporting women in the workplace during midlife and menopause.
The evening panel currently includes:
- Helen Tomlinson – former UK Government Employment Menopause Champion, former DEI Lead for Adecco and national advocate for workplace menopause awareness, women in leadership and inclusive employment policies
- Dr Jessica Langtree Marsh – Founder of the Jersey Women’s Health Hub, GP and women’s health advocate specialising in fertility, menopause support and improving access to women’s healthcare services locally
- Dr Sylvia Jankowska – currently the island’s only Level 5 BMS menopause specialist, focusing on complex menopause care, hormone health, HRT management and women’s health within primary care
- Alex Frankham – pelvic health physiotherapist, chronic pain specialist and co-founder of Physio.je, with expertise in women’s rehabilitation, pelvic pain and musculoskeletal health
- Deputy Louise Doublet – long-standing political advocate for women’s health, equality and public policy development, contributing perspectives around the future direction of Jersey’s Women’s Health Strategy
- Dr Christian Alabi – Senior Consultant Gynaecologist at Jersey General Hospital and advanced minimal access gynaecological surgeon with specialist interests in endometriosis, fibroids and early pregnancy care including miscarriage prevention. Dr Alabi also leads the gynaecological cancer service and Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit in Jersey and is one of the consultant specialists leading the island’s multidisciplinary endometriosis clinic
- Kate Melyn – digital midwife working within NHS digital health, specialising in women’s health, sexual health technology and digital healthcare products. Kate is also a private perinatal debrief facilitator and antenatal education practitioner, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience perspectives to the discussion
The evening will be hosted and moderated by Trudi Roscouet, Founder of Eve Studios and women’s health and menopause coach
The event is proudly sponsored by Physio.je and the Jersey Women’s Health Hub
The discussion comes at an important time for Jersey, with Government currently proposing to launch a Women’s Health Strategy in September, following consultation work and survey responses originally gathered during 2024 before the previous strategy work was paused. This event aims to ensure that lived experience, frontline healthcare voices and community discussion continue to help shape the future direction of women’s healthcare locally.
The evening will include panel discussion, audience Q&A and lived experience conversations focused on:
- Women’s healthcare access
- Menopause and hormone health
- Workplace wellbeing
- Primary care challenges
- Health inequalities
- Fertility and pelvic health
- Future strategy and support pathways
